Junior Development/Quickstart Program

Centercourt Athletic Club is the first club in New Jersey to offer a complete USTA QuickStart tennis program, geared to appropriate levels. We will offer QuickStart group or private lessons, round-robin practice sessions and USTA sanctioned QuickStart tournaments.

QuickStart is a tennis play format that utilizes age-appropriate tennis court size, racquet size, tennis balls, net height and scoring system. Other sports, such as soccer and little league baseball, have right-sized and adapted their equipment and field size, and now tennis is doing the same.

From the very first lesson, your child will learn and improve both physical and mental skills, as well as play a team game. While our QuickStart practice sessions will help your child learn the basics of tennis, he or she will also participate in physical skill development exercises that will improve agility, running, balance, throwing, catching, coordination, speed and rhythm. In a typical QuickStart group lesson, your child will warm-up, practice a new skill, play a team game, cool-down and have a lesson review.

Our QuickStart tennis professional staff features USTA National QuickStart specialist Jeff Rothstein. When it comes to offering a complete tennis program for junior development, Centercourt is leading the way in New Jersey.
